Welcome to the Internet Hotline website of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority. We have created this website to allow the reporting of online content that is unlawful or detrimental to minors. The website also includes useful tips and information on safe Internet use and conscious media consumption in Hungarian.
The National Media and Infocommunications Authority took over the operation of the Internet Hotline service from the Hungarian Association of Content Industry on 22 September 2011; the latter had been operating the site since 2005. The service is thus not a new one, and has been around in Hungary for several years. Every European country and many countries worldwide offer such a service, operated by civil or state bodies. Germany, Great Britain, France and Australia all have a similar service.
